Best Album Covers of the 90s

This week’s special post is the fourth “episode” of a series that goes through the best album covers of music history of the last 50 years. This post is about the first decade I truly lived: the 90s. Grunge, Gangsta Rap, Trip-hop, Brit Pop, Boy Bands, Teen Pop and more. Unlike the previous decades, there wasn’t a predominant genre that symbolized those years. It was more like a mix of cultures, fashion and movements where people could easily find the best way to express himself. Talking about the graphic design field, 90s album artworks were generally full of cliches (like babies, dogs and old-fashioned drawing). But apart from that, some great designs gave their contribute to music world and entered history. So here’s (in my opinion) the best 20 album covers of the 90s.

DOOKIE (1994) – GREEN DAY

PERFECT FROM NOW ON (1997) – BUILT TO SPILL
